Portrait Research by Miss Sandra (EXAMPLE)

1. Title: Self Portrait with Camouflage 1986

Artist: Andy Warhol

Explanation: I chose this portrait because I like how the artist chose to use camouflage print to mask his face. It is as if he is not revelaing his true self and trying to say that his real identity is camouflaged.

2. Title: Soft Self-Portrait with Rasher

Artist: Salvador Dali

Explanation: I like how he added in his trademark moustache so that people will know it is about him even though his real face is not part of the painting.

3. Title: Self-Portrait

Artist: Chuck Close

Explanation: I think that this a very unique way of painting a portrait by using different cubes of assorte colors to form a bigger painting. It seems to illustrate the artist's colorful personality
